Join us at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, for a presentation on climate and ocean changes in the polar regions at Rogers High School. Dr. Martha McConnell will present the free talk, which is hosted by ALT and generously underwritten by the Donner Foundation.  RHS science classes are currently engaged ‘The Sea-Level Rise Challenge,” a climate resiliency project aimed at exposing students to the effects of global climate change on Aquidneck Island. The presentation is free but registration is requested.

Dr. McConnell is an ocean scientist with A.I.S. Inc. with extensive experience in polar science, policy, and education. She has served as Visiting Professor at the United States Coast Guard Academy, teaching oceanography and atmospheric science, and as an adjunct at Salve Regina University.
