Thank you for attending the first community meeting for this planning process on September 14, 2015. An estimated 150 people filled the room at Pell School to listen to the presentation of the team’s work so far and share their thoughts on the past, present, and future of Newport’s open space. The evening began with an open house session for attendees to browse boards featuring analysis of Newport’s open space, followed by a 45-minute presentation. The meeting wrapped up with a session for community members to document their thoughts on cards — we received an estimated 150 cards with over 260 comments and ideas!
