Coddington Cemetery
Coddington burial ground is the oldest cemetery in Newport and includes more Colonial Governors than any other cemetery in the state, including one of Newport’s founders William Coddington.

Coggeshall Park
The grounds of the former Coggeshall School is our newest park which includes a playground and a popular neighborhood play field.

Common Burial Ground
Established in 1640 this historic cemetery is thought to include the largest number of colonial era headstones in a single cemetery. The section known as “God’s Little Acre” has been recognized as having the oldest and largest surviving collection of markers of enslaved and free Africans.

Easton’s Beach
Easton’s Beach, located on Memorial Boulevard at the start of the Cliff Walk, is a 3/4 mile long surf beach with a board walk, historic carousel, playground, store, and a concession stand famous for its twin lobster rolls. The ballroom with views of Easton’s Bay and Easton’s Pond is a popular wedding venue. Located on the first floor is Save the Bay’s exploration center aquarium.

Edward Street Playground & MLK Park
Located adjacent to the MLK Center is a playground, chess tables, a basketball court and a paved free play area.

Elm Street Pier and Boat Ramp
A popular downtown location for boat launching and a favorite neighborhood swimming spot.

Fort Adams
Rhode Island state park located at the mouth of Newport Harbor, offering panoramic views of the harbor and Narragansett Bay.

Freebody Park
This WPA era stadium was the original home of the Newport Folk Festival, is a multi use recreational facility with softball fields, the Toppa Football Field, and a playground.

Hunter Park
This is a multi use park with a playground, softball field, tennis courts and very soon the City’s first pickle ball courts
